We participated in the anual 'investors competition' (beleggerscompetitie). While the timeperiod was quite short (4 months) and the set of stocks in which we were allowed to invest was quite restricted to what we use in our screeners, we didn't do that bad. Of the 24.044 participating portfolios our portfolio (screener) ended in 10th place! We achieved a return of 23,05% in a turbulent period with a general market decline of 7% and an average portfolio return of -3,32%. Professional investors from Moneytalk, a Belgian investment newsletter performed even worse with a loss of 8%.
